On January 17, 2011, residents of Washington, D.C. came together to honor Dr. King’s legacy through service. Volunteers provided nutritious meals and warm clothing for homeless citizens, beautified school grounds, cleaned up neighborhoods, made literacy kits for homeless children and more.
