President Obama’s Interfaith Campus Challenge went out to colleges and universities just over one year ago. The President challenged students from diverse faith backgrounds – Christian, Muslim, Hindu, and Jewish, religious and non-religious alike – to partner together, across religious lines, to serve their community. The response has been absolutely overwhelming, with 270 campuses participating and thousands of students serving their communities and building religious tolerance. The White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, the Department of Education, and the Corporation for National and Community Service organized the event.
