On July 22, 2010, the Corporation for National and Community Service announced its inaugural Social Innovation Fund grants to expand effective community solutions to social challenges in the areas of economic opportunity, healthy futures, and youth development and school support. The $50 million in grants will support 11 organizations selected in a rigorous competition that will grow effective solutions to persistent social challenges across more than 20 states.
