This I Will sculpture has been placed in New York City's Times Square to encourage people to make personal pledges to perform good deeds and service on September 11th.
A George Washington University student participates in the school's Freshman Day of Service at the Capital Area Food Bank. Each year, the day is timed to coincide with the September 11 National Day of Service and engages the entire incoming freshman class in service projects throughout the Washington DC area.
